Cycling in Jackson
Best season: May–October
Jackson sits at the foot of the Tetons, and the riding starts right from town: the Jackson Hole Community Pathways network strings together more than 56 miles of paved, car-free path linking downtown Jackson, Wilson, Teton Village and Grand Teton National Park, where the park’s multi-use pathway rolls north toward Jenny Lake under the full sweep of the range. It’s flat-to-gentle riding with outsized scenery — ideal for families and anyone happy on a cruiser or e-bike.
Mountain bikers get their own valley: 115+ miles of singletrack, topped by the lift-served Jackson Hole Bike Park at Teton Village, with rental fleets (and bike-park bikes) at shops in both town and the village.
Hotel bikes are genuinely part of the scene here. The Anvil Hotel lends complimentary bikes for cruising from Town Square, Fireside Resort in Wilson puts guests on free cruisers for the Wilson paths, and the Teton Village hotels arrange guest e-bike rentals at the front desk — while one local outfit will even deliver a rented e-bike straight to your lodge.
Two practical notes: riding the pathway into Grand Teton National Park requires the park entrance fee, and this is high country — snow lingers into May and mornings stay cool all summer, so mid-June through September is the sweet spot.
