Tampa is made for easy, flat cruising. The signature ride is Bayshore Boulevard — one of the world’s longest continuous waterfront paths — paired with the Tampa Riverwalk downtown, the Selmon Greenway, and quiet loops around Davis Islands and Ybor City. Nothing here is hilly; it’s all about the water views.
Rental shops cluster around the Channel District and Riverwalk, and at least one downtown hotel hands guests complimentary cruisers. Winter and spring are prime; summer means heat, humidity, and afternoon thunderstorms, so ride early.
Heads up: Tampa’s old Coast bike-share system has shut down, so plan on a shop rental or a hotel bike rather than a dockless share.
